peacefinder's Journal: A good reason to have car seats

We had some snow and ice in Salem [Oregon] earlier this week, but I wasn't really paying attention to how things were in Portland. Judging by this video, things were much worse up there.

No one was hurt, BTW.

Subaru

While we were driving a Subaru came sliding down a side street and crashed into a tree right in front of us! The driver wasn't hurt (luckily) but he was a tad shaken. The interesting thing is that it was his third(!) trip out that day and the first two were fine. He also wasn't to thrilled about telling his daughter what he had done to her car...

We did just fine, BTW, and sounds like you did too.

I was sick on Tuesday, actually called in sick *before* the snowstorm started. Had fun watching the news all day. Wednesday I stayed home for safety's sake. It was 2:00pm before we had any parents show up to drop off kids for the daycare.
