Journal NFLFan's Journal: NFL 2006: Week 2 4

Well, I went 9-7 last week. Hopefully that will be my worst. Don't have much reason for my picks this week.

WEEK 2
Sunday, Sep. 17
Buffalo at Miami 1:00 p.m.
I like the Dolphins. One of these teams is going to slip to 0-2 and I do not think it will be Miami.

Carolina at Minnesota 1:00 p.m.
I like the Panthers. Too early to give up on the Panthers.

Cleveland at Cincinnati 1:00 p.m.
I like the Bengals. Boy, that Bengal defense sure looked good.

Detroit at Chicago 1:00 p.m.
I like the Bears. Sorry Roy Williams, Chicago's D is too nasty-- Detroit is going to have to wait to score that 40.

Houston at Indianapolis 1:00 p.m.
I like the Colts. If you can beat the Giants, then you can beat the Texans.

New Orleans at Green Bay 1:00 p.m.
I like the Saints. I wonder what Brett Favre is really thinking right now.

N.Y. Giants at Philadelphia 1:00 p.m.
I like the Giants. I guess this pick makes no sense but it is football.

Oakland at Baltimore 1:00 p.m.
I like the Ravens. How many passes did the Raiders complete last week?

Tampa Bay at Atlanta 1:00 p.m.
I like the Falcons. The Falcons continue to roll.

Arizona at Seattle 4:05 p.m.
I like the Seahawks. Neither of these teams looked good last week.

St. Louis at San Francisco 4:05 p.m.
I like the Rams. Just cannot pick the 49ers.

Kansas City at Denver 4:15 p.m.
I like the Broncos. Wow, Plummer looked really bad last week.

New England at N.Y. Jets 4:15 p.m.
I like the Patriots. The stars are just not lined up for a Jets victory.

Tennessee at San Diego 4:15 p.m.
I like the Chargers. Do I need a reason?

Washington at Dallas 8:15 p.m.
I like the Cowboys. The Cowboys just wanted to save their first win for the home crowd!

Monday, Sep. 18
Pittsburgh at Jacksonville 8:30 p.m.
I like the Jaguars. The Jags always seem to play the Steelers tough.

Detroit's O line is no match for the Bears' defense. Kitna's going to be picking himself off the turf an awful lot...
    • Detroit will definitely have a rough time with Chicago, but never underestimate division games. Division opponents know each other very well, and will play to weaknesses. Detroit could find an exploit in that rough Chicago D...
Having said that, I've benched Kevin Jones in my fantasy league for DeShaun Foster. ;)

And the Jags play the Steelers tough... when Tommy Maddox is QB. He's the one that lost the past two years to the Jags, and the Jags barely squeaked by. I say the Steelers win convincingly wit
      • I would like to state simply that I disagree with this, and then move on...but I can't.

The Lions are ok. They have a decent front 4, a decent running back, an all-world receiver, and that's about it. The D is weak, the QB is weak, and they won't be able to stop the Bears ground pound running game.

Obviously, anything can happen in the NFL any given week, but for my lock of the week, I would take this game or whoever is playing the Titans.

That Steelers at Jags game was real hard for me to pick. Well, I believe the Jaguars did start their existence in the Steelers division. Should be a great game.
