tuxette's Journal: tonight's mystery bag!

Hehehe...looks like someone wanted Mexican food tonight ;-)

Here it is:

ground chicken
2 red chiles
dried chiles
2 avocadoes
1 can chopped tomatoes
1 can refried beans
1 red pepper
fresh tomatoes
iceberg lettuce
1 jar jalepeno peppers
tortilla chips

I already know what I'm going to make. What would you make?

Here's what I made:

I made cold curry-avocado soup (in a blender - both avocadoes, 4 dl broth, 1 dl cream, 2 tsp curry powder, white pepper to taste, original recipe from Sundays at Moosewood). I also made chili meatballs, a dip with the beans and canned tomatoes and dried chiles and served the dip in red pepper halves, and made a nice salad with the rest.

Now I'm making rice crispies treats, with some rice crispies I got on a trip to Sweden last October (they don't have rc in Norway). More indoctrination, uh introduction to American "culture" hahaha...(And I'm the one my Norwegian friends call most übernorsk)

Fajitas

I'd probably sub out the tortilla chips for tortilla wraps and make fajitas. I'm not sure what (if anything) the name is for the same sort of thing with chips instead. But it sounds good.

Are you sure you can't ship some of this out to Canada?

...I would throw it all into a big pot and boil the hell out of it for an hour. Then tell BF "no fair trying to force the issue". ;->

Got "chicken fajitas" written all over it. Or maybe quesadillas.

Tomorrow night, he's planning on bringing potato chips, ground beef, hamburger buns, ketchup and mustard. Hmmmm. ;-)

I have you beat! I went to Taco Time today and ordered:

• 1 Crisp Bean Burrito
• 1 Crisp Meat Burrito
• 2 Crunchy Tacos
• A medium drink--filled with r00tb33r no less!

then I went home and ate a few Little Debbie(R) Star Cruch(R) snacks. (basicly rice krispy treats with chocolate.)
