Journal pudge's Journal: Obama Tells Democrats to Not Work 14
The Obama campaign sent out an e-mail saying, "Ask your boss. Ask your professor. Take Election Day off and volunteer to make history."
What a shocker that Obama is telling Democrats to not earn a living, and to live off Republicans' "shared wealth"

How long does it take to vote? Granted, I live in a smaller suburban area, but it's never taken me longer than 15 minutes to vote in any election. So I read Obama's call as "spend the day rounding up every homeless guy and semi-self-aware retiree with dementia and get 'em to the polls for me!

They are asking people to take time to volunteer.

It depends on your area, but there are different things to do on election day. You can wave signs (not at the polling place, of course); you can, yes, drive people to the polls; you can be a poll watcher; you can call people who haven't yet turned in their ballot; and so on.

No doubt. EPIC FAIL.

And of course, it seems funny to have to point it out, but those are only a PART of the cases they KNOW about. You see -- and I am just speaking obvious fact here -- if they allow a fake registration to go through, then how would you expect them to catch that it is fake and prevent voting?
Sure, it happens, they catch them sometimes. But we cannot know how many times they are NOT caught. Obviously.

Most likely, yes. The WA governor race was only a 130-ish vote spread. It is likely that in WA, or in some states the size of WA, that there's more than that many illegal registrations used to vote.
"Will it happen on a scale that will swing this election?"
No clue. I'd guess not, but it is foolish to assume it couldn't happen, or even that it is so unlikely as to not be worth talking about.
But I wasn't saying that they are mentioning that there is a gaping hole in the election system. I was saying that they appear to be framing a possible McCain defeat as the result of mass voter fraud swinging an election that they would have otherwise won.
Well, he WAS joking when he said it, as he said: hence the smiley face.
If you think the "belief" I have is that existing fake registrations WILL BE used, en masse, to vote illegally, no, that is not my belief.
So we agree. If McCain loses, it probably won't be because fake registrations were used en masse to vote illegally.
