      • Cool, thanks for the heads up on the equipment. On my little display I couldn't make out what it was. I got to tour the Martin factory a few years ago and took home one of their backpackers that was damaged for $50. I was gonna strip it for the tuning machines but here in Miami the crack in the face closed up due to the high humidity, so I play it all the time.

          Nice. I don't like the backpacker just because I rest my hand on the guitar body and I can't do that on the backpacker, since there's no body! It's frustrating for me to play. :-)
  • Ah Pudge I envy you! I just picked up a harmonica, and am dabbling with beginning to try and learn how to play it. I quickly found out I need to work on the lung capacity thing :(

    How long have you been playing it? How did you learn to do it?

      I've been dinking around on the harp forever. Never became really good at it. I think I have a book somewhere that might have helped me with the basics. I started playing with some regularly in high school (actually, one of the old videos of my band has me playing the harmonica [youtube.com]).

      As to lungs ... I've always had PowerLungs. I remember one show we did around that time, 1990-ish, a vets hall gig where our sound guy was complaining because I was redlining his EQ. :D
