Journal pudge's Journal: Seattle Is Stupid 6
I don't really mean the title of this entry, but it makes me greatly annoyed that not every Mariners baseball game is televised. That sort of thing almost never happens in Boston, but it happens regularly here in Seattle, when the game is on during "work" hours. It's an 11 a.m. (Pacific time) start, so most people won't be home, so the game isn't on.
I don't think a single Red Sox, Bruins, or Celtics game goes untelevised in the Boston area.
Oh well, I can listen to the game on the radio. And Wednesday's game I'll see in HD on ESPN(2?). Thursday's game should be on the local TV.
Mariners? I Live Here. (Score:2)
Seattle is not Boston. (Score:2)
1. The mostly not-so-great quality of the play by the club.
2. The fair weather nature of Seattle sports fans.
3. Blackout issues due to not every game being sold out.
4. Crappy TV contract where only about 1 or 2 games a week is actually broadcast over the air, sadly KSTW can make more money showing Jerry Springer and Judge Judy than broadcasting baseball games.

I'll save you the time: Jeff Weaver is going to get shelled.
Being in a dome and not the Texas frozen tundra will wake up the Red Sox bats and they'll have a pretty big day teeing off on Weaver...

I was RIGHT!!
Weaver got HAMMERED.

You're just complaining because you want to watch the Red Sox play the Mariners.
Well, sorta. I likely would not bother complaining other than that, but it would still annoy me.

It wasn't just him that got shelled. :-) And Beckett was awesome. Timlin wasn't good, but eh, it was his first game back, a perfect situation for him to be pitching (and I don't know his stats, but I think he always does poorly against the Mariners, his old team).
