  • Mean to a national superpower? I see a severe lack of willingness to sacrifice in America today- see Bethanie's latest journal for lower-upper-class female executives who would rather spend time on business trips than with their children....

      Many offerings were valuable things. Sacrifice was one of the most valuable things. I was just wondering why valuable, expensive, and priceless things had to be offered to god. Then I realised they are related to the origin of countries.
      • Sacrifice is also the way to win wars- which are *always* more expensive than their immediate return. Countries that sacrifice win. I think that's why the USA is losing the GWOT, or as I now call it, WWIII. We don't have the will to win.
