I'm a very committed Evernote user, the product is great, however I started migrating my data (3500 Notes/750MB) to Tagspaces, it's Open Source, relies on open standards and I feel it's the safest way for me to store my information. there should line between tech and politics, but it's very difficult. Brendan was one of the Founders of the Mozilla Foundation, I think he does believe what Mozilla stands for, it's sad that he left. I think the biggest loser is the Xiph Foundation ... and maybe .FLAC as a filetype ... the PonoPeople ... making out that Pono is the new awesome and not recognizing FLAC will do more harm than good. Rather promote the FLAC standard, and donate some money to Xiph.

You get what you pay for...

Sometimes I wonder why Canonical develops these new things in secret, want to "force" it mainstream, and then discover that maybe it's not as stable, as other tried and tested as technologies that where developed in the open from the start.

Even though it looks like they aren't going to make it, I really hope they do.
