Journal Timex's Journal: Justice Souter lucks out

Voters in Justice Souter's hometown of Weare, NH rejected a proposal to sieze his 200 year-old farmhouse.

Although the proposal was rejected, the farmouse would have been safe, regardless. In February, residents voted to water-down the proposal, so that it instead urged New Hampshire to adopt a law forbidding the sort of seizures sanctioned by the US Supreme Court.
