GMontag's Journal: Update to Webb's Aide Packing on the Hill

Looks like there could be a machine gun charge waiting in the wings for Mr. Webb's assistant too.

The SLA defines "assault weapon" to include a number of specific products, and invests "machine gun" with the same meaning defined in D.C. Code 7-2501.01 (10), i.e., "any firearm which shoots, is designed to shoot, or can be readily converted or restored to shoot: (A) Automatically, more than 1 shot by a single function of the trigger; [or] (B) Semiautomatically, more than 12 shots without manual reloading."

Anybody know if the above 'definition' ever got changed?

If Webb packs 15 round magazines, there could be trouble here with this undocumented hand tool.

The guy says "Most 9mm [pistols] have at least 15 round magazines or so." Not true. Most come with magazines of far less. You can get magazines of 15 or so, but they do not come included and stick out the bottom. Indeed, until the AWB expired, a (new) magazine for a semi-automatic pistol of greater than 10 rounds was entirely illegal.
