Teddy was easily one of the greatest presidents the USA ever had. While he had a few failings (e.g. he tried to justify our treatment of the indians), overall he was dead on on so many issues of the day. Issues that continue to plague us to this very day. Hyphenated americanism is only one of those things.

It's interesting that you say that. 1 day, I'd like to look @ history with a fresh perspective. I guess that I'd like to know if the worst of times was also the best of times. For example, was 1 generation's worst racism more compassionate than another generation's "tolerance"? Are there some types of racism that actually

Hey you want sumpin to rant about live out here in California for a while. Since our undocumented immigrants are about to become licensed to drive and anyone with $1.25 has their hat in for Governor I have decided on a new career. I have an idea that should get me elected to the CA State Assembly. It's the "Share-Your-Identity Program". Since most state officials out here seem to think you should just look the other way when an illegal is using your SSN, why not just formalize it !
