VR was at a pong level about 30 years ago.. Because those suckers don't know what VR is or how to use it doesn't mean it only started a year ago.. Yeah, maybe HE started a year ago, but VR was already on the market in 1995 for consumers, and to just dismiss consumer helmets like the Forte VFX-1 is really ignorant/snobbisch (and those were even further along than 'Pong-level')..
Let's not forget VR has been in use in the industry for a long time already, the only difference now is, you can do it on the cheap..
So I really think he's just an a**hole for dismissing all the work that has laid the ground for valve to actually be able to start doing VR.. Because they came late to the party doesn't mean the party only started when they arrived...

I think you really have no idea which apps are actually written in a crossplatform framework and which are really 'native'.. Most crossplatform frameworks ARE native, and most mobile platforms do have the same kind of options..
To be honest, why would I need a native app if there is also a webbased version available, and in a lot of cases I think the mobile versions (of native apps of websites themselves) are crap compared to regular versions.. (Most apps are nothing more than a dataviewer)..

But I agree, I'd rather have a real native app which actually uses the hardware to it's fullest, but these days it's really hard to find an application that is actually optimized for any specific platform, that's why we need faster hardware to even run the simplest apps we already ran on older hardware native...

He should just stop blaming Groupon and just stop acting like a crybaby, especially if he claims there are 30 other problems, so he can get money for those.

No it's not, it's in-engine footage, BUT! it's a cinematic which means it can be of much higher quality because the engine only has to deal with what's shown and nothing else like during regular gameplay, it's like a 'photo-mode' which you see in some games now, which are also only available in a rerun of what you actually played. But I guess the in-engine footage is also propably shown on a very highend GPU...

How is chrome not a default-browser these days or firefox? both have their own OSses, chrome is the default browser of Android now, and both are so much as the default browser in most Linux distributions...
Also how can they absolutely make sure it's about the browser, as in some companies the browser is set for you (for instance it is set to chrome instead of IE)..
And how does one make you a better employee if you use Chrome or Firefox if IE or Safari is just as good... Also why is it that a lot of webdev's these days don't even bother to test it on the latest IE or safari just because their preference is Chrome (talk about a bad developer)...

What kind of moronic conclusion is it to say:
""I think that the fact that you took the time to install Firefox on your computer shows us something about you. It shows that you're someone who is an informed consumer," says Housman" all based on an online query where the browser is used as a base..
It's just nonsense, because maybe I have installed FireFox or Chrome, but maybe I just don't like them because of some reason.. Who's to say one of those browsers is better than IE or Safari.. If it works for you, that's great, but not all people do like those browsers... (I have installed Firefox and chrome, but still use IE most of the time)..

They should just go multiplatform, their top games would sell so much more units if they went multiplatform (not that I'm a fan of their games, far from it, I find them mostly boring), it would propably easily make up for not having to invest money in developing their own hardware..

It happens with a lot of non-profit organisations, a lot of money is going into the pockets of the ones who are in charge, and instead of profit, all extra's are going into the pockets in the form of a bonus or expense account, so no profit is made by the organisation..

Instead of telling Iran not to persue a nuclear program of any kind, they should first look at themselves. It's telling Iran not to create nuclear weapons otherwise there will be hell to pay, but they keep on making nuclear weapons themselves, so who is the agressor here.... And in history the only country ever using nuclear weapons is the US... So who are they to tell others not to pursue nuclear weapons (or energy)..
Not that I would like to have a country like Iran to have nuclear weapons, but if Isreal has them (and they have, and are not even allowed to have them) why not Iran too.. IMHO nobody should have nuclear weapons, and a country like the US should destroy all their nuclearweapons before telling others not to create them...
