The boss in IT does not have to be technically competent but they have to be a techie for two reasons.

1) You have to be able to understand the lingo and the significance of it. I've had project managers that didn't know what a driver is. That was insulting and we had to drag this moron through the whole process.

2) If IT is run by non-techies then it's always a clusterfuck. It also tells your IT people that you think any schlub in a suit can just step in and do it.

It depends how fascist a state you work in. In some states they can fire you without reason making your freedom of expression guaranteed in the constitution completely moot. This is called At Will employment, it's sick and disgusting. It means that if you get fired for being gay you have to prove that it was because you are gay and not just because they felt like it.

I don't know if I'd take this drug. I'm over 40 and have learned to manage the downsides. I've also learned to use the super powers associated with mild cases of ASD.
I've had to learn to override the adrenal response which gives me the ability to act when most people just freeze up(e.g. artillery strike). I'm always having a stress reaction when I'm outside my own head so a little more doesn't really matter that much. I doubt it would fix my voice modulation (flat affect)and other mannerisms that have been ingrained. I wish you could try it before making it permanent.
