As promised earlier, here's a wget for 386,000 thumbnails, 2.3 gigs ... suitable for all sorts of things, in celebration of Porn Whitelist's first freak:

wget -r http://www.spacethumbs.com/tgp/thumbs -w 10

Why the -w 10?

Well, first off, this script will take about a month to run with a wait of 10 seconds ... if you do it quicker, all you'll end up doing is complicating your life, hogging up a big chunk of your own bandwidth for the next week, and filling up one directory with a TON of entries. Not to mention that if a bunch of people go all at once ...

So, go slow ... every once in a while, make a new directory and move a chunk of downloads into it so that you don't end up with more than a third of a million files in one directory, etc.

And for those looking for smaller images for their cellphone, pda, etc... coming soon, the wget to leech a couple of gigs of thumbnails. You'll definitely need to be running a unixish system (386,000 files in 1 directory), and just run it as a background job for a week or two.

3. remove the embedded space in "jansgalleries"
4. do a "chmod u+x getporn.sh",.

• -w 5 be polite - pause 5 seconds between requests so as not to slashdot (or is that Porn Whitelist) the server .
