Comment Re:When Domination Isn't (Score 0) 738

I think regardless they need to stop spending money on sueing the other companies and start looking as making more than just 1 phone. I think the biggest issue is cost. You can buy a cheap android phone, you can't really get a cheap iPhone unless you want an older one. Not to mention other companies are making new phones every 6 months where apple seems to be a lot slower at it.

They need to stop trying to make it look shiney and do a small update and call it a new version. People who have been using firefox since it's 3.x days are used to the old update system and DO NOT CARE about having a new version every few weeks. I think they first need to figure out why flash +firefox = massive headaches because ever since 11.3 flash I've had nothing but issues with firefox loading flash applets and I'm getting sick and tried of them making 'improvments' and saying they fixes stuff when all they are doing is making it worse. They either need to do their update cycle sliently like google chrome and really fix issues with it or go back to the old method and only apply updates that really do something. I've been happy with firefox for years, but now I can't stand it. some people I'm sure like this setup but I don't think it works for them.

Regardless of it's raraty it's not worth $15,000 I would say maybe $15 or heck even $25 but people need to understand that when eletronics get older they become more worthelss. Sure the game was awesome but comon in the pictures you can cearly see he's taken it apart and states

I can only speculate that the 2-23-87 refers to the date they completed this prototype and being so close to launch is why there are no differences from the released version. Again I'm speculating.

which means that he has no idea if it's really the prototype or not. He's just trying to make a quick buck of anyone who will read the headlines and not the fine print.

I like how this vulablity's been there for years and someone only mentions it now, maybe they were done having fun with is and felt they should do the right thing and tell the public about it. The other way of breaking in to them is to use a hacked keycard, the securty on those door isn't hard to break. You stay there a few times asking for the same room and you'll be able to gain access, some people stay at hotels all the time, so it would only be a matter of time before they had access to all of them. Let's face it the Site ID's only 32bits it wouldn't take long for someone to crack it and make their own key cards that would work with any brand.

Yeah back when they first got it working it used to be 3,000+ms for your average connection now your going to see less than 1,000ms granted my grandma never really uses it for gaming much except for facebook games, but they are still looking for ways to improve on the process still. so it might never be as good as some city's 10-50ms connection times, but if your in the middle of nowhere or on the road and find your self in locations that have no cell service it will still works

Super low bandwidth dial-up and super high latency wireless or satellite are not alternatives to actual broadband access.

Last I checked even Dialup is considered Broadband "Signals over such a range of frequencies." which in some cases your right is a low bandwidth option but if you choose to live in an area that doesn't offer what you want then move. Wireless and Satellite have come a long way, I'd say they are very good options inplace of dial up. My point is that they "are" alternatives it's your "choice" not to use them or consider them useful.

One of the biggest misconceptions is that you are stuck with the only ISP in your area, which isn't true. There's always satellite and guess what, you can get that all across the globe. The second is cell providers almost all of them offer some kind of internet. If you’re in an area that get's even dialup and has a population over 5k you should have cell service in the area as well. Just because you think the other options are worse than what you have now doesn't mean that there aren't any.

True it's all about how people use the wireless, if your really just going to connect your pc to it and forgo a data plan at home then I could see maybe 3-400/gb a month but 500? what the hell are you downloading.

With my 8350 when you remove an app you had to reboot the phone, any and all apps even if you just installed them. Now with their new BB app system you can remove them if they don't require too much access, like a game but if they have access to call logs or text's then you have to reboot. their newer phones might not have this issue but it's one that's anoyed me for years.
