Women who are just dying to latch onto someone and get that monthly payment going. I am not much too look at externally, so when a 34 year old chic wants me to date her someone is wrong.

I'm a few years younger and I have found that now that I have a good career, good income and secure finances, I get a lot more attention from the female of our species.

I'm not married but I am in a relationship with the mother of my children. She was with me when I was working my way through college and living in my grandfather's spare bedroom so I know that she's here for me and not what I have.

I'd be extremely cautious about who I'd date if I were on the scene again.

There are certain feminizing elements in our society who are trying to pathologize maleness.

Boys are more likely to be diagnosed with psychological issues and medicated for doing the kinds of things that little boys just do.

We have things like California's "yes means yes" law that criminalizes what's considered normal sexuality in the rest of the country.

Some guys are just checking out "Fuck this! I'll be over here with my video games and these porn chicks who won't make me just through a bunch of stupid hoops". They never planned to have children anyway so what's the point?

I learned the roads of my home town the same basic way -- on foot and on bike. The problem is, I haven't lived there in years and I do a lot of driving. GPS and navigation is very handy when travelling outside of your home area.

I routinely just wardrive my current "home" town just to get all the streets and alleys imprinted in my brain.

You're naive.

At an extreme, put a clause in having the OS actively deny access to a non-DRM-ed 3D printer, and no operating system without this capability can be specced for government work.

That's the whole fucking point of F/LOSS operating systems. This kind of nonsense can just be removed.

What next? Another law criminalizing Operating Systems that lack this capability? How will you enforce that? How will you detect them?

Cody Wilson's objective is to illustrate the idiocy of people who think that utopia is "just" a few laws away.

You don't like what he's doing. That's fine, you don't have to but you can't stop it either.

Hmmm...I am anal about putting the phone in the same orientation every time. I'll try rotating it and see what happens.

My phone also acts as GPS, police scanner, and traffic/weather alerts. That is why I keep it docked in full view.

Just a short note. I picked up an Air Dock back when their Indigogo campaign was under way. I have now had this thing for a little over a year.

In general it works fine and does exactly what it says. I use the CD-mount, which has a nice picture down on this page.

Usually, I'd agree with you. In this case the laptop is a bit of a Frankenstein model. The CPU is an engineering sample of an AMD A-10, and the BIOS is missing details of serial numbers, etc. Makes for an odd boot, but it was cheap and does what I want. I've also replaced the stock RAM, drive, wireless, BlueTooth and everything else that could be replaced.

The reboot thing is new and I suspect it has something to do with the boot loader. I expect to be able to fix it.

The Wifi I'll have to investigate. I have some leads, but should be able to fix it.

If it were an off-the-shelf model I'd agree with you, but because of what I've done to it I am a bit more tolerant.

I installed in on my HP ProBook 6475b laptop the other day and have only run into some minor issues.

1. I opted for full disk encrypted LVM. It didn't ask for a separate Swap partition password, instead using the main one. Fine. However, when booting, I have to enter it twice -- once for the main partition, once for swap. [Bug reported and acknowledged]

2. It hangs on reboot. I have to boot twice every time to get it to get past the boot loader. I've tried "shut down", then letting it sit for 10 minutes. Next boot -- hang and I reboot and then it works.

3. My wifi doesn't come back after suspend. I think it has to do with the particular laptop firmware, because it does this with every distro I've tried. Everything else works, but the wifi never makes it out of suspend.

The rest works fine. Changing to the proprietary AMD video drivers was a snap, and it sped up video playback to what I would expect (no stuttering on HD).
