Kids Using $100 Laptops to Browse Porn

ErichTheWebGuy writes: Everyone remembers those $100 laptops that were supposed to be helping kids in third-world countries with education. The inevitable side-effect is occurring: the kids are using them to browse porn sites. The Nigerian News Agency says, "Efforts to promote learning with laptops in a primary school in Abuja have gone awry as the pupils freely browse adult sites with explicit sexual materials." A representative of the One Laptop Per Child aid group was quoted as saying that the computers, part of a pilot scheme, would now be fitted with filters.
