Comment What??? (Score 1) 134

What in the hell are you talking about???? Light weight is a bad thing? I've been looking for light laptops for years. Now the same morons who think a kickstand is cool for Microsoft surface want heavy laptops to validate their stupidity? C'MON MAN. (and have fun downmodding this post to anyone who actually reads it)

Comment Re:Somebody explain? (Score 1) 105

If all the passwords and users were the same then why use someone else's account when you have your OWN account? In a normal security situation, he would have the keys but not the actual password unless the passwords were stored in plain text, right? But he would require the password (not the key) to get into the Astro's network.

Step 2 is don't use a credit card or any payment system tied to your name. Because, if so, you are likely being tracked. This is already happening by the way. Research the company Acxiom. Step 3 is don't go out in public. Because the logical progression is adding facial recognition to all the millions of cameras already pointed everywhere and AI that logs everything you do throughout the day. The truth is you don't have to do anything. They will come to you.

Comment Acxiom is a bigger threat than FB or Google (Score 2) 236

Why is Acxiom never mention in privacy? They collect data on people independent of social media and independent of any consent or even knowledge they are being tracked. They have information on you even if you've never joined any social media site. They track your credit card purchases, everything you buy, and who knows what else, and they are selling the data to who knows who. They sound way more dangerous than FB and google combined.

Comment Lie detector tests are fiction (Score 5, Insightful) 246

I can't believe people take these seriously. A polygraph is supposed to be a lie detector test, but all it does is tests vital signs. There is absolutely no way to prove if it's correct or not, so what is the point? If a polygraph was worth anything whatsoever, they wouldn't be worried about somebody being trained to beat it.
