I disagree. In fact, given the original language, I would say lawyers did examine it and did what lawyers do best in the best interest of their client. Think along the lines of "much easier to give something up than take something away" during litigation. Might as well claim the world up front rather than after the fact, no?

In contrast, 64% of Yahoo! staff and 100% of Google staff use their own company's search engine. How's that for a product endorsement? I'd guess that Microsoft may soon add google.com to the list of blocked URL's on their intranet."

radarsat1 writes "The Montreal Gazette today reported that a professor at Montreal's McGill University was refused a $40,000 grant, allegedly because 'he'd failed to provide the panel with ample evidence that Charles Darwin's theory of evolution is correct.' Ironically, the grant was for a study into the detrimental effects of intelligent design on Canadian academics and leaders." From the article: "Jennifer Robinson, McGill's associate vice-principal for communications, said the university has asked the SSHRC to review its decision to reject Alters's request for money to study how the rising popularity in the United States of 'intelligent design' - a controversial creationist theory of life - is eroding acceptance of evolutionary science in Canada."

vim - and not its girlie cousin Vim -g, gvim for those who still don't get it. Emacs is ok I suppose but keep in mind the following list of tools can be done from inside of it...with LISP implementations of course.
tin - USENET still not completely useless regardless of how many outlook readers are out there. If tin isn't your style slrn is my second choice
mutt - while mail is sufficient I like it because of the vi interface
gcc - the entire compiler collection
ssh - if you can
