The concern is not piss and shit --- it's synthetic chemicals, such as rubbing alcohol, medications, petrol/motor oil, ethylene glycol; pesticides, fertilizer, and materials containing heavy metals or other toxins, that folks sometimes flush down the drain.

Medicines are a big part of that mix also. Especially estrogen and it's mimics. lot's of goodies in the water, some times from discarded pills, some teims from pissing. There is even some thought that this has been part of the issue of men "growing boobs" that's been going on for some years now. Between the Phytoestrogens we've been eating in larger and larger amounts, (soybeans, peas) and the Mimics in Bisphenol A plastics, and the estrogenated water we're drinking, men are growing their own set of hooters, and we might have trouble finding our willies soon.

I've had NYC tap through clean pipes and it was the best I've had so far. Florida's aquifers will still be kicking when it starts to *really* dry up out west too.

Side note - NYC's water system is amazing. Piped in from upstate New York through huge underground tunnels, ending up deep under the city and piped back up. It is very clean, and is very tasty. I was going to post a link from youtube, but it turns out there are a lot of them on the NYC water system at the site.

Sorry, but many Muslims are taught to hate Jews from a very young age:

Sorry youuself. Yours is just another "Yeah, BUT! response. Next will be someone for the other side going " Yeah, BUT! And on and on and on

The fact is neither of the sides can get along with their neighbor. Period.

From what I understand (and I know many American Jews who have visited Israel), the Jews pretty much just want to be left alone.

Well duh! did you expect any other reaction?

Fact is, you'll see me as supporting the Palestianians. Muslims will see me as supporting the Jewish people.

Hey, I support everyone's right to live in peace. Not a one of both sides of this conflict do.

I support no side in this conflict, and consider both sides as a shame to humanity. Some people can get along with their neighbors - some people can't. We just have a big neighborhood battle going on here, neither side wanting to give an inch. Each has a mile long list of their awful neighbor's wrongs, this list going back to the bronze age.NO one is going to win that ware short of exterminating the other side. Then who they gonna hate?

Two hings I can think of: Both religion based

The fundamentalists question your patriotism, and sentence you to hell if you don't support Isreal with major money.

I think that is based on their actually being more old testament oriented than most Christians.

The other thing is that many of these same fundamentalists believe that by supporting Isreal with Arms and money, they are greasing the skids for Armageddon, the Gog-Mgog battle that some look forward to iheralding the end times.

And here's a clue for you. NO one over there wants peace at all, ever. They are two sides of the same coin. They hate each other, They always have hated each other, and their hatred of each other is their core value. and if there is ever the chance of peace erupting, one or the other will start the carnage again. This has been replayed over and over again. This is exactly what both sides want.

Read your religious texts. That's a crew that is really into killing each other.

Your silly rant about the Palestinian Muslims is just one more excuse for the bloodshed from the neverending list of excuses offered form both sides. And you'll just have another excuse that it's the Palestinians fault, and the Palestinians will have another excuse why it's the Jewish people's fault, and on and on and on. Back and forth, world without end amen.

Big fat hairy deal. They should just do as they will, and the world can watch them do it, and not interfere.

Perhaps more effective would be to rain down takedown notices upon any group that shows anything. Just go through youtube and start at the A's. Claim copyright on every video, photograph, and PDF you can find - anywhere.

If you pay someone to do a job and they don't do it... you fire them. That's it, no worrying about crime and so on. If they're really contracting, then at worst it's a breach of contract and you could sue to get your money back.

Agreed. One small point to add though is that the people they are working for put a lot of pressure on them to publish.

This is just stage one of a process. It's been known that the "publish or perish" culture has produced some problems. Self plagiarism is a biggie, but they are weeding out the fraud at the same time.

So while the more politically inclined might wring their hands and moan "we have to do something!" this is all happening because we are doing something The system is working. Tools are in place now to catch the bad boys and girls. Soon they'll know they can't plagiarize themselves, come up with bogus peer review, or doctor the data. It's good, what is happening.

It's a science solution. If it were a political solution, the fraudsters would just end up winning, and would become more powerful.
