Who cares if they're compromised computers
I don't. Why should I?
Many of the DDOS nodes don't know they're being hijacked for a DDOS. Name and shame an innocent person?
They are NOT innocent. They let their computers be used in stealing, censorship, blackmailing, spam and other evil stuff. It doesn't matter if it is stupidity, ignorance or malicious intent.
If your car keeps hitting other cars you should hand over your license.
Try leaving a laptop or bicycle unlocked and unattended. Fifty years ago you could have gotten away with it except for perhaps the most urbanized colleges.
Wow! I'd like to see a 50-year old laptop.
This company is near bankrupt.
RiP. I shed no tear for corporations. It's business. No reason to feel pity for them. And no reason to buy Win-only game subscriptions.
It's not about THQ getting money or not. By paying for this you're basically saying it's okay for HiB to sell DRM'ed Win-only game subscriptions (seriously, look up Steam license, you're not actually buying games). There is no other meaning to this.
Corporations are virtual entitty. He tried to fuck with "priveledged" people, so he must be severely punished in order to demonstrate the power to other peasants. Sending a message is more important than any peasents' business.
And I'm not being sarcastic.
On my work PC I have Windows 7 x64, and starting with some version (somewhat like 14.0.2) FF had a serious bug in 32-bit version. It would just stall my computer after some time. Disabling plugins/extensions didn't help. Switched to x64 version and the problem went away.

It's already done.
it's obvious that the iPad won't run Mac OS X apps
No, it's not.
As much as I love Linux, it always has at best 80% of needed functionality, 20% is missing. Years go by, new technologies and hardware are released, 80/20 rule is still true.
Books? These are some readable computer files, not books.
My only problem with bitcoin is that it is pretty much useless or unnecessarily complicating to try and use them. When I can easily pay at the pump, or checkout at the grocery store with bitcoins, it might have some value for me.
That will never happen. No government would accept alternative currency, money is their only source of power and legitimacy. With no control over economy they would be a bunch of clowns in suits and ties, printing laws and bills that no one would give a f*** about.
A good Linux port is needed. Torchilght 1 as it is right now is a piece of crap on Linux, unfortunately.
