That will help of course but it doesn't help against news that makes you angry, or friends who don't reply on Skype etc.

Woosh
I did. It's not defined in the Urban Dictionary, so Rule 34 doesn't exist.
I don't think that really matters to the people being killed by the sharks though.
Irrational fear is not a survival tool. It's a way to get you killed more easily by the thing you fear. Irrational fear makes you panic, and panic makes you do the wrong things, like running away from predators or trying to swat bees with your hands, making them angry and much more likely to sting you.
What is that?
I voted 'TV show' bit I meant Documentary. And currently I'm trying to reinstall the rule not to watch a screen an hour before going to bed. Watching lit-up screens makes your brain go all Weeee! because of the blue light screens emit. So I read the paper, stroke the rabbits or potter around the house a bit before going to bed. Nothing physically or mentally straining of course. And I drink warm liquids, like tea or hot milk (chocolate or anise).
This. WE HATE NOISY WEBSITES!

This is very bad for the Netherlands. It was in the paper this morning that because we are a tax paradise, especially for American companies, the Fortune 500 companies have 127 billion dollars stashed up in our country. If now suddenly the EU starts to meddle with the way we do business, this money may vanish and we lose a lucrative and easy part of our yearly income.
Yeah, usable fuel cells. Just around the corner since way longer than Linux on the desktop. And they both will stay there for a long time to come.
And eliminating reading the article could significantly increase ignorance and the amount of posts that show ignorance.
And don't forget overview papers. If your career is really down you should write one of those. If it's good enough it will be cited a lot for years to come.
Your sig is wrong. It's MOST people are idiots and... Otherwise you would never have put that sentence there.
Unfortunately apart from the 'most' I have to agree with you. Not even on universities you see many people with interests way beyond their field.
That would indeed be nice. Messages on the Mac is still pretty bad, and the handling of invitations for Calendar is abysmal if you choose not to use Apple's Mail but another email client (Thunderbird in my case because that has some features I really like that Mail misses).
