Sorry, but mirrors don't actually work against lasers in real life.
I don't get it, though I only watched the first few seconds.
It's just a bunch of selfish people who don't give a shit about morals.
What's the inherent idiocy here?
If you choose to restrict yourself to a subset of C++ where you can't use any nice features, then sure, C++ is the same as C.
But that's not what C++ is.
Steve Jobs was a nerd?
Why didn't they hide in that kind of shed or under the rocks next to it instead of going in the middle of an open area?
If they wanted to leave, they should have made a better effort and walked much faster than this instead of pausing to take pictures and discuss it between them.
Since when are nerds hippies?
So basically you're complaining because you wrote bad code that only worked due to Visual Studio not following standards and that on top of that you don't know how to read template error messages?
From a developer's perspective, they're the same.
You just code with C++ and Clang for both of them, then have to suffer a framework in a braindead language to do the UI.
Swift does not have the syntactical goodness of ruby and python any more than C++.
It also cannot challenge C for several reasons, including the fact that it's very slow at working with native types such as integers because it tries too hard to be safe.
Swift is native.
If you can't answer a trivial question like listing the C++ basic containers, then you certainly can't code at all.
If you put C++ on your resumé, people will expect that you do know it, at least to some degree, and will test your basic knowledge and skills.
I have personally hired several PhDs. Most of them can't code, the important aspect is being aware of it. You hire a PhD because of what he was able to do during his thesis. The ones that can't get hired probably just have done unremarkable work.
In my country there are government incentives to hire PhDs, too, so that helps. Look for R&D job postings.
Project Euler is more about algorithms than software engineering.
I don't understand what you mean by desktop control and root access.
Care elaborating?
CGI does not use the same technology as games.
Games should render fast a d uses cheap tricks to implement lighting, for CGI there is no such requirement.
