"...Tesla goes to some trouble to make certain that the battery cells in its vehicles don't go flying in the event of a collision..."
I am sure engineers at Tesla know what you are talking about. I am also sure they tried to take into account [most] possible scenarios.
Then you hear this dude try to educate folks at Slashdot!
"YouTube is facing growing criticism for allowing election misinformation after it decided not to remove or individually fact-check videos that spread unfounded conspiracy theories alleging voter fraud,"
Whose metric are we using to determine that one story is unfounded and borders near a conspiracy theory than otherwise?
This is America, where we have the Freedom of the PRESS.

I had access to some research amongst our teachers. Here's what happened...
A group of 4 to 5 year olds (of a variety of ethnicities), were randomly put in class, all sharing tables. Teachers, without being told what was going to happen, were told to observe these kids for potential bad behaviour.
Eye movement monitoring and focussing software was used to monitor on whom the the teachers' focus was.
Result: 91% of them kept their focus on the black kids, reported what they termed as "potentially" concerning behaviour, even though the white kids were known and actually exhibited troubling manners.Just 37% of white kids were reported!
Conclusion: BIAS - Blame the media.
...Tell Pompeo that!
He (Pompeo), would rather have you believe that China, Iran, Venezuela and Russia are the enemy.
I can guarantee that if you asked him abiut this, he'll say something to the effect
The United States is the beacon of true democracy...A country with institutions that actually work for the benefit of [all] humanity, unlike the Chinese Communist Party that uses companies like Huawei to spy around the world.

A statement like this in many cases gives away a submitter's lack of exposure. It is usually made by folks that are crass, or otherwise unrefined.
I mean, Jack Ma has been very very very successful - then you hear this dude say statements like this. Sad, is all I can say.
Sweden is among countries/markets that China can afford to lose as its population is less than 1/100 that of China.
As a result, conclusion can be drawn that as a market, it is of no consequence.

Why waste time/resources when citizens are dying daily - that's not to mention the disruption in their way of life? Russia has 2 vaccines already , but politics will prevent western states from touching these vaccines even with a 10ft pole, even if they turn out to be the most effective.
Is it a coincidence that Russia's breakthroughs in this space have attracted little to no mention in western media?
My suggestion: Put the products under fervent scrutiny. Let's see whether they work or not. I'll answer myself. No western government will take a bite!

Something comparable to Microsoft's Visual Basic that can be employed to interface GUIs to database server backends? If so, examples please.
