I have the same experience as you. At some point over the past few decades I have been a registered member of both parties (not at the same time), so my contact details are probably well documented.
I would say the amount of political solicitation emails I get is at least a 90/10 split favoring Republicans, if not higher. In fact I think they are more persistent than the Nigerian Prince that keeps offering me money.

So either the bias is deserved because they spam far more, or the bias is actually reversed and they eliminated all the emails coming from Democrats and only some coming from Republicans.

For someone to learn a 2nd language and retain that knowledge, there has to be a strong need or want to do so. Over the past decade the "need" to learn Mandarin has dropped as the opportunities expected to be present just haven't materialized. Doing business in China has become more difficult and risky and business was the leading factor for people to learn the language.

Do not mistake politeness with being accepting. I just got a new contact for one of our offices in Japan. Even though his name is Japanese the first thing our local ex-pat told me about the new guy was that he was not Japanese.

I'm not sure if he's half Japanese or possibly a mix of some other Asian ethnicity... but I found it extremely odd that was the first comment made to me.

Well - his payment for endorsing the product is worthless so technically, he paid a bigger price than most.

Personally, I'm sick of people making poor choices and then blaming others. That is what children do. I have a son in elementary school, it's amazing how nothing is ever is fault!

If you lose money in FTX because Tom Brady endorsed it, maybe you're the problem. (I use "you" in a general sense, not directed at you). In investing, for every winner there must also be a loser. The winners in crypto are mostly the ones that got in at the beginning, the losers are everything that bought into the hype.

I didn't say purchased at OEM cost, I said cheaper than OEM pricing (MSRP).

If I purchase in bulk direct from an OEM at a discount from MSRP, there will be a clause in the contract forbidding resale at less than MSRP as a reseller. The reason I get the discount is to compensate for the OEM using my distribution network. If I purchase in bulk from a "distributor" at less than MSRP, someone along the line has probably done something they should not have.

d) let the parents parent.

This is just another solution looking for a problem. The politicians and small vocal majority are exploiting children to push their agenda.

I'm sure there are kids looking at porn online. Is it the responsibility of the company or the parents to monitor the kids behavior online?

When I was an aerospace engineering undergrad in the 90s, 2/3rds getting a single question completely right was actually pretty darn good.

It's not like it was rocket science or anything.. oh wait.

I've seen it in my son's school, parents pressure the teachers to give their kids opportunities to correct non perfect scores. Heaven forbid an elementary school kid brings home a 'B' on a test.

The next generation is being groomed to always think they are perfect.. can't wait for that next generation of know-it-alls to enter the work force. 12 more years until retirement for me... but who's counting!
