This is a fair point. The traditional meaning of "may" involves some permission being granted by one party to one party ("May I?" = "Will you allow me to?"). Since they obviously aren't telling you that you give them permission, the only possible meaning would be that they are giving you permission to make a recording. Never thought of it like that before, but that's literally what they're saying.

The strategy involves destroying or blocking the blood vessels that supply a tumor with oxygen and nutrients. Without its lifeblood, the unwanted growth shrivels up and dies. This can be done by physically blocking the vessels with blood clots, gels, balloons, glue, nanoparticles and so on. However, these techniques have never been entirely successful because the blockages can be washed away by the blood flow and the materials do not always fill blood vessels entirely, allowing blood to flow round them. Now Chinese researchers say they've solved the problem by filling blood vessels with an indium-gallium alloy that is liquid at body temperature. They've tested the idea in the lab on mice and rabbits. Their experiments show that the alloy is relatively benign but really does fill the vessels, blocks the blood flow entirely and starves the surrounding tissue of oxygen and nutrients. The team has also identified some problems such as the possibility of blobs of metal being washed into the heart and lungs. Nevertheless, they say their approach is a promising injectable tumor treatment.

There's some savings to be had by, if you have a geographically distributed system across time zones, moving loads to lower commercial rates based on time zone.
For those that don't know, commercial rates vary, and spike at peak demand time (~14:00) Moving peak load by forward or back 2 time zones would move you out of peak rates.

Apple did the same thing with their upgrade to iOS. If you had iOS6 and an older Mac, you could connect through iTunes and everything worked fine. Then they "upgraded" to iOS7, and without warning you had to have a more recent version of iTunes, which in turn requires Mac OS 10.6.8 or newer. So don't think this is some Microsoft conspiracy. It's just typical thoughtless programmers not giving a shit about reverse compatibility.
It's surprising that people are raising a fuss about this, when they didn't say peep about the iPhone thing. Hell, on the Apple Discussions board if you try to bring up something like this, you are ridiculed for having a computer more than three years old.

I started out all full of piss and vinegar and eventually learned to relax.
You will only make enemies if you play politics. Only play in politics that involve you directly. Let everything else go. It's not your job to know it though you have the ability to. You won't be faulted for not disclosing something that your privileges allowed you to know, but declined to know.
Be everyone's friend. I made friends and gained people's trust by being fair. They told me even more. I could go around uninstalling their games and stuff... But I didn't because it's just piss them off. So I just told them I saw the game and if something starts behaving weirdly, I'm going to blame the game first, and that they should uninstall it before I came back. That seemed to be enough to cover my ass in the event someone else found it and reported it to the head of IT. It kept me from making enemies. Exercising restraint is the key to success. If no one likes you, they won't put in the good word.

He said chemotherapy, which attacks all dividing cells in the body, would be replaced with such therapies. "We will look back in 20 years' time and think of blockbuster chemotherapy [as] a thing of the past and we'll think 'Gosh, what an era that was'." David Cameron has announced a series of investments across government, industry and charities totalling £300m ($500m).
