It honestly sounds like you should write a SQL book and document the things you know. Maybe it'll force people to have that conversation. Maybe it'll make you some money.

Yeah. I got burned out by Netflix cancelling anything I had an interest in so these days the only thing we're watching are mediocre competition shows. There's no worry of continuity between seasons and they're all disposable.
That said, I'm sure if my fiancee could motivate herself to watch any sort of TV show with an ongoing plot, we would watch more of it...
Clearly you've forgotten the Satanic Panic and kids playing D&D! Clearly a gateway experience from burning witches on a quest with a fireball to setting your local Wiccans wholly ablaze with a Molotov cocktail. Think of the children!!!
I complained once and Logan fixed it. I complained recently about it and never heard back. And then there's this one.
All of them were BeauHD and let's be honest, we all know the quality of work there. Just a fucking joke. They're obviously not going to do anything about comments but they could at least pretend to give a shit about what they post.
Were they actually retired or just put in storage with plans to bring them back once life returns to normal? They've reduced public transportation service here but they don't have the money to actually replace a significant portion of the fleet. So whenever life gets back to normal, it's likely many of those same vehicles are going back in service. Tax revenues are likely down for a lot of places too so odds are there just may not be money for it. Maybe we get lucky and folks can work from home so overall demand is down but I guess we'll see.
Of the 4,993 other folks, how many are actually seeing patients in person? I've read that many who are getting the vaccine are working from home and not seeing patients. That does seem a little funky even if due to age they are at higher risk. I would generally prioritize anyone seeing patients in person first since if those staff go down, we can't treat people.
First round should have prioritized all in person treatment folks first and then future rounds can roll into the higher risk crowds. That would ensure front line folks continue working so patients can get treated.
Catching up on old posts I wanted to read sometimes gives me a great laugh. This is one of those times.
Even further back is the 90's Outer Limits episode 'Hearts and Minds'. Drugs instead of implant but the premise is the same.
30 is an understatement! Steam sales were the worst when I was regularly overoptimistic about having time to play games. I plan on using my holiday break this year to actually get through a backlog so I might be closer to 30.
Agreed. Hopefully more dealerships will close so we can cut them out completely and see a better approach to buying a car.
Having moved to New England and all that's here chainwise is Dunks, I miss KK having grown up near their HQ. That said, there are some bomb local shops that I get instead.
I'm partial to Gravy Seals.
I remember when the Big n Tasty came out from McDonalds and my friends and I called it the Big n Nasty. One of us slipped up and ordered it with our name for it one time and discovered the staff found it hysterical.
Quite true. And unfortunately since they don't share numbers, I don't have anything to measure their cancellations by so I'm left to draw my own conclusions (unranked but numbered to highlight different thoughts).
1) Netflix makes a lot of crappy, unpopular TV hence they cancel it. Given the volumes of data they have on member viewing habits, they can't manage to figure out what a killer should needs to be?
2) Make a whole lot of stuff in hopes something sticks approach. Netflix makes a diverse buffet of TV variety but much like the buffet, it's just generally bland and viewers prefer to go somewhere that specializes in something.
3) Given that Netflix cancels a large number of their shows to regular internet outcry (deserved or not), I should watch anything else because why bother even getting invested in a Netflix show when it has a high probability of getting cancelled. I've been abused enough by Fox on shows I liked the premise of.
4) Netflix is cheap. Shows that gain steam likely get more expensive to ensure cast/crew/creators stick around. It's cheaper to cancel and start fresh as viewers have short memories (debatable).
Days late but curious - so gas taxes haven't really kept up with inflation (at least in places I've lived). If a politician wanted to raise gas taxes to maintain infrastructure, you would not vote for them? I would imagine your vehicle has no use if the infrastructure fails or is so poorly maintained that your vehicle suffers damage and requires repair. Or if the infrastructure causes issues in other places relevant to you indirectly - major truck routes, bridge unavailability, etc.
Sure it indirectly benefits the environment as gas is now more expensive but the primary focus is on maintaining infrastructure.
