Well, it is happening right now in a lot of places and it has happened in the past in the USA too during the infamouse "Dust Bowl Years" in the 1930s.

It is also notorious in a huge part of the Mediterranean such as Spain where human activity has changed the whole southern sea shore from a Mediterranean climate rich in woods into a desert with a large erosion (I have been able to see land eroding away some 2-3 meters in a couple of years). This is Climate Change, and it is certainly Human Induced unless you want to claim that agriculture, wrong type of irrigation and water misuse (=golf fields), wrong crops and cutting down the woods for real estate speculation have all been caused by solar spots or that the images on Google Maps are actually based on counterfeit data from the IPCC. And this is happening all around the world since the Green Revolution began. So that we are talking about a Global Climate Change that is obviously human induced.

And here we are also reaching some tipping points: One of hem is the scarcity of fertile soil and water which is causing displacement of populations right now, through "voluntary" migration but also through land steal as global coroporations are trying to seize fertile soil for cash crops meant to feed cattle.

I would like to see Mr Inhofe trying to deny this. Good luck with that Jimmy.

6-7 years ago I worked for the then biggest payment service provider, BIBIT, we were part of the Royal Bank of Scotland and had a massive datacentre in Scotland, I am now unable to tell how big, only that it was huge.

Well every time Sony had a launch of some product (PS3, films, etc) they had to tell us in advance because they laid our whole datacentre flat. I recall once having to stay up in the middle of the night because we thought a massive DoS attack was going on as no other merchants were able to connect to our systems... and it was just that the idiots had forgotten to tell us in advance that they were going to send in payments for a new campaign.

This gives you and idea of how big they were already back then (and payment data is not very "heavy", just XML) and how chaotic they operate.

Sending out huge amounts of data would be of no concern at all for them, nobody would have noticed anything.

A difference is that vegans don't eat McRibs and they generally don't give a fuck if somebody else does it. OK, they do care but they won't feel offended and certainly not in the way relinuts do. These do not only air their opinions but try to force-feed them down our throats and generally succeed, even in countries with an atheistic majority such as mine.

I don't think this was news outside of the Netherlands but while we live in a country with a 40% of atheists (many of them belonging to the 'liberal' right) and most of the religious people do keep their believes in private and support laicistic views (including abortion and euthanasia) we have got two proposals for law changes blocked in recent years:

One was the abolition of the Blasphemy Law, a law that makes it illegal to insult godly beings (from any religion, BTW), a law which is absolutely useless, has never been enforced and is in clear contradiction with the right of free speech which is as fundamental here as it is in the USA and is included in our Constitution (dating back to 1806). A few Catholic ministers from the CDA (a party that's now a minority) and a couple of members of the two Christian parties were enough to block it. So, we still have a stupid and useless law just for the sake of a few old farts (with the support of an also small bunch of Muslims, of course).

Another example was the ban on ritual slaughter without previous stunning of the animal. There was and is massive social support and there was a majority in both chambers supporting it. Yet Muslim and Jewish orthodox didn't want to hear about it and pulled a stunt sending in some high-ass imams and rabbis to lecture the Chamber of Deputies and with the help of (again the same) Christians the law was rejected and in a country were we have a Party for the Animals and even the far Right makes this an important point it is still allowed to any guy wearing some fancy robes to cut the throat of any animal he likes in the name of his religion. I actually wonder if they would also permit this in the name of the Cult of Cthulhu or as a sacrifice to Hekate, but I assume that it's only our dear right-to-left-writing friends who can do that.

Morale: Even in completely agnostic places we are still captives of these that are entitled for no good reason to impose their particular beliefs and fancies upon the rest of humanity. And this has to stop.

Spain is the European country which has a lower proficiency rate in foreign languages, specially English.

Now they have a perfect excuse for being even lazier...

Worse, given the general low literacy of the Spaniards they may even become convinced that the rest of the world actually speaks Spanish... not that they aren't doing it yet.

BTW: Please, MS, Google, etc... improve your Dutch / English translators, they utterly sucks in both ways, and these are closely related languages.

Well, the bands I listen too don't play for much more than 30 EUR (for a full event with a few dozens of them). And some even encourage that people download their stuff or even put it directly online.

There is a whole huge scene of bands out there who are not playing by the rules of the show-bizz and I am not talking about some crappy neighborhood bands but the Extreme Metal scene where bands issue their stuff at small labels and as most do not make a living of it they make real art and are true to their fans instead of making expensive shit.

And we the fans actually BUY their stuff, because we want to. We buy T-shirts, official patches and albums... and the best of it is that we can even mosh and have a few beers with the musicians while another band is playing.

This is the scene I know, and we are millions around the world, but I am aware that other scenes work much in the same way such as the dance scene.

What the masses do, I don' t care. I just don't give a fuck about media for the stupid. And well, Pirate Bay is not getting too much attention from me either, al being said.

Well, these are all Christians.

Recall Rwanda? That was a civil war among the Catholic and Protestant Hutus and the Tutsie based on the assumption that these were left wing socialists and both the CAtholic and Protestant churches were main instigators. The conflict broke a few historical records of people murdered in less time. This alone leaves even ISIS look like a friendly bunch.

Right now there is a conflict in de Central African Republic were Christians are doing some very nasty things: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

And in the way things are developing in your country everybody is expecting that there will be an outbreak of violence from ultra-Christian groups such as the Hutaree or similar.

I think that all you religious apologists need a wake-up call.
