I have to agree, I really don't understand why Gravity is held in such high regard. Yes, visually it was very good. I also liked the audio design (apart from the fact that there's too much of Sandra Bullock breathing heavily). But as a movie I found it rather boring.

I'm thinking that should probably be "Oyj", although that typo is not so easy to make (was it in the original article - how am I supposed to know? 'tis /.). But what that means (in Finnish, F-Secure is from .fi) is a public company. And whether the company is public or private is quite irrelevant in this context. Just call them F-Secure like everyone else.

I had a Transformer Infinity (TF700 is the official moniker, I think), also powered by a Tegra 3. Combined with a 1920x1200 display (that was great though) the results were not good. This is due to memory bandwidth on a Tegra 3, which is simply not enough for that resolution. I'm not saying they haven't improved since - I certainly hope so - but I'll wait for actual reviews (not just a few benchmarks) before getting excited. That, and my 2013 Nexus 7 will probably serve me well for a year or two.

Regarding the Sinclair -> Sheridan switch (which I didn't mind, I never particularly cared for Sinclair), there was a quite good reason for it.

Actually you only need to ignore the first half of season 5 (the whole "Tragedy of the Telepaths" subplot was more a tragedy of the viewers), but I think there are some great episodes in the latter half. "Fall of Centauri Prime" is a personal favourite of mine.

While I agree with you in general terms - this is an issue that has bugged me ever since migrating to KDE4 and apparently I'm not alone. Still waiting for a proper solution (adding another input field in settings doesn't seem to be that big of a deal, configurability is what KDE is about after all, but I'd be willing to edit a text file by hand if that's what it takes; but no progress on the issue so far).

For MS it doesn't matter, they've money to burn. But for another manufacturer it doesn't seem like that good of a choice (as good as the platform may be) as is evident given how few new WP phones are announced that are not Lumia. I have to agree with you a bit though - I thought the original Nokia announcement was very strange. The fact that MS continues with this is bizarre.

Good for you - but I was talking about using Android as a phone platform. In order to get the Google apps (some manufacturers/users seem to value this) there are rules to follow; this is not an endorsement or criticism of Google, just a statement of fact. Also as said there's the Amazon route, also multiple other marginal Android versions such as the one FSF keeps promoting.

Well what are the alternatives for $PHONE_MANUFACTURER_THAT_IS_NOT_APPLE? iOS is not an option, WP has not managed to much traction so far (let alone Sailfish or Tizen). That leaves Android - in order to keep Google happy/get access to Google apps you have to abide by some rules, but one can also take the Amazon route.

On Linux (the opensuse-kde-friendly fork, running on Arch though), I cannot say I've found 29 that different. The tabs are more rounded, yes, but other than that, the difference is quite minimal. Instead of having a menu link on the left of the tabs, it's on the right of the location/search bars - I pretty much never use it anyway, so I don't really care.

On Windows 7 it is distracting, but I never liked the Aero transparency anyway. But on KDE, a non-issue personally. If Firebug works better, I'm all for it.
