Hahaha, I forgot about that day they introduced windows 95. Never gets old. https://youtu.be/lLPAUHdyjRI

I watched that as a new engineer with my company who had sent me to Seattle for business. I don't recall my reaction, but I do remember that event. Good times.

No, to understand what their job involves and how the decisions you make when writing your code impact them then you need to spend time either doing their job or shadowing them. The funniest part of arrogant cunts like you though is you're going to be the first to fucking starve to death and will be one of those that suffers the worst should things take a shit. Oh and your degree is worth less every year as every year universities churn out tens of thousands with the same degrees so you're nothing unique, you're nothing special, just another halfwit who can mash at a keyboard.

  • I've done those jobs, sounds like you're assuming I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth.
  • My degree is worth more and more every year due to my experience, you really don't know what your talking about. I've worked with new grads, employers like them 'cause they can pay them less, but I don't see my company getting rid of me anytime soon.
  • take your socialism and fuck off.

So to care about the middles classes, as dev I need to start delivering shit? What do you think, we sit at a desk all day, tap out some crap you can't read, and then go party the rest of the night? You're off your rocker if I'm going to put my degree to use delivering crappy food to randos in the street. I got it to AVOID that kind of work. Not happening. And all the feelgood leftist bullshit isn't going to make me feel bad about that choice.

Ok, here we go again: Back in the 2000's we had mom and pop isps all over the place, remember? Or are you not that old? The Fed stepped in and said "We need broadband," and made a deal with the MAJOR ISPs; "We'll give you bunch of money to get broadband in the US going." The ISPs said "Ok, then allow us to buy up all these mom and pop isp's so we can have consistency (control) over the new network." "Fed said "Ok", and handed over a blank check. SO the major isp's bought all the little ones. And investment in broadband? Little to none. They pretty much just handed that money over to their shareholders. And 20 years later, not much in the way of broadband. Even if they did the infrastructure is still based on copper; stopping broadband cold. Its still amazing to me that South Korea has a much better connected population than the US.
