Comment they're a disaster (Score 4, Insightful) 124

If you're not aware of the level of performance of current self-driving cars, let me break it down for you. They can't stop for construction or understand rerouting from it or obey temporary signs. They can't see stoplight colors while the sun is setting anywhere near behind them. They can't drive on snow at all. They will slam on the brakes for a piece of newspaper blowing across the road or other low density objects. They think puddles are obstructions and will slam on the brakes.

They're basically deathtraps on wheels and they don't work at all plus they're illegal in several states.

How about their pull their heads out of political correct land and realize male brains are better at logical computer tasks. Male and female brains process thoughts differently. This is known science! Female brains typically work well with relational thoughts and can piece multiple things together but lack solid focus on solving one individual problem. Male brains compartmentalize thoughts and like to process one thing to completion then move on instead of jumping around quickly to different thoughts, problems, or topics. Males are better at most computer work because of this and that's the end of it. Females don't work with computer science fields because they don't enjoy it and aren't good at it.

Comment what a contest (Score 0) 307

It's like a contest to see who can run the slowest, crappiest, most useless garbage with Windows on it. It started with the atom chips in netbooks where it takes 30 seconds to render msn.com. Then it moved on to the passmark score of 1000 haswell celeron that's 80% slower than the 3rd generation celeron. Maybe I'll be able to run Windows 10 on my calculator. I just ran 174 Windows updates on an A6 APU from AMD and it took 5 hours. I ran the same on a vishera FX-6300 system with 8GB of RAM and an SSD and it took 25 minutes.
