My 13 year old kid gets bullied on the regular because of this.
I would not be surprised if this lead to a few suicides.

They're making some pretty good for the buck android phones these days. Also, they own what's left of Bell Labs/Lucent, and still manufacture a lot of back end wireless telecom switch gear. You're phone might be connecting to one of their access points right now.
Soft sciences are notoriously coopted by people to push political agendas. The Nazis, for example published a lot of eugenics garbage.
Are you really comparing a diesel motor to a gasoline one?
Apples and oranges dude.
Name a country that would if they had it.
I'll wait.
LIke it or not somebody has to be the top dog. I'd much prefer the United States and a vassalized Europe to be that top dog rather than Putin's Russia or Xi's China. Do they make mistakes? Absolutely -- but I'll take American mistakes over Chinese intentional actions any day.

It wasn't proven. The woman was a saint ministering to thousands of the poor and won a nobel prize for it. A smear narrative formed around her because people like yourself need to believe she was not who she was, because if she was actually good your personal narrative about the Catholic Church evaporates.
not even close. For every scientology center ripping off celebrities and middle aged housewives with no prospect of personal fulfillment, there are another Sisters of the Poor running soup kitchens in the ghetto.

Great - so now that we know it's here and we can't avoid it, can we just deal with it as it comes then? It's what we were going to do anyway, and all the alarmism isn't helping any.
4 digit Slashdot ID - checks out.
Carry on......
Remember - it's not a crack house, it's a crack home.
Plastic packaging is prevalent because it's cheap. Make it expensive.
60 megawatts? 3 Jiggawatts? Not that much?
Really?
For a 50 mile stretch of road, you are talking about building the equivalent of a dedicated Westinghouse AP1000 nuclear plant (3.4GW rated) -- just for that stretch of road.
That's insanity.
