I'm not actually buying into the conspiracy theory as such here. Just pointing out that while it looks like an amazingly unlikely sequence of events, if someone's immune system had been compromised, they'd get what looks like a series of unlikely events in terms of nasty, unusual infections which turned out to be much worse than normal.

Any particular selection would look rather unlikely (what's the chance of getting X followed by Y?), but, say, if it wasn't those two it would be some different ones (with the same questions). If this was an attempted assassination (though if you just want to send a message it's as good to fuck people up badly as to kill them), it would have been an attack on his immune system, and then let whatever happened next take its course, rather than trying specifically to infect him with MRSA.

Still though it looks like leaving a bit much to chance for me, but if more drop like flies then it does get a bit sus.

Right? I though were a bunch of tech nerd old farts fetishising the 80s here! Maybe people are not quite as tech as they liked to think. You'd think though that people would remember portable analogue radios though, they were ubiquitous through to the mid 2000s at least.

Maybe it's slightly different in the UK where AM Radio has always carried what's arguably the flagship radio program in the entire UK: BBC Radio 4, so it's been less of an oddball niche. Just speculating?

You know... radio.

What savages we were. Certainly we were incapable of singing along unless somebody published the words in the newspaper.

I don't have any reason to upgrade my iPad. And I use it quite a lot. When I bother to take the time to close all the apps, I find there are at least 10 of them open.

Lots of people have the arrogance to assume that just because they don't "get" it, there must be nothing to get. But I am as technical as anybody, and I find it amazingly useful.

I had one major annoyance... the iPad wouldn't use my Bind9 server for resolution, no matter what I did, which meant it couldn't resolve my internal servers by hostname. Even went to experimental builds to try to resolve it. But apparently somebody somewhere threw enough of a fit that in the last couple of releases it was quietly corrected.

Now it's just one of my many tech tools quietly existing in my ecosystem.

If you drive anywhere in the arse end of nowhere you get radio 4 longwave (also really cricket doesn't lose that much on the radio), but you can get quite a lot of FM drops and of course bugger all mobile reception.

I don't own a car so my driving is skewed heavily towards places I need to hire a car to get to, so there's probably more arse and of nowhere than average.

Also the odd MW channel.

Kiiiinda but if a single things was done to fuck his immune system then that isn't an especially unlikely series of events to follow

Nonetheless some agencies prefer to simply kill someone off in a car crash. The 9mm holes in the head being from the steering wheel. There's also the old favorite of committing suicide by shooting yourself twice in the back of the head with a rifle.

But go on do tell me how this radio has a 1 yard long antenna...

Also has it not occurred to you that radio stations can simultaneously stream online and broadcast on AM at the same time? It's not alien magic voodoo...

Glad my sig is still trolling you. When you stop denying that kinetic energy well approximated by a half m v^2 at noon relativistic velocities then I can explain to you. But until that point there is no hope of you ever grasping why your love of propulsion scams is doomed.

I particularly live how you switched smoothly from the EM drive (which didn't work) to the new electrostatic drive (which doesn't work). I saw another one where some crank claimed he could generate net thrust with a propeller in a closed box. Would you like me to dig that one out too so you have something to get excited about when the EM drive successor is also proven to be fake?
