I have done topo map,aerial photo navigation with compasses in the bush, the only time I missed the mark was when I listened to someone else. Like mult-kilomoeter portages in the unknown and coming out dead center of a 50m wide bay on a lake I have never seen except on a map.
On the other hand, I had a college prof who taught survival courses, cause he could get totally lost crossing the road!
I did have a bit of trouble navigating on my first and only trip to Amsterdam, but I blame the coffee houses for that.

I second the vote on the Ontario Science Centre, though its been many a year since I visited it. I spent many days, maybe weeks there as a young teenager.
