Thats just messed up. Why not get off by taking up skydiving, mountain biking, or bungee jumping off the Macau tower? He must have had a pretty f*** up upbringing (in addition to genes the somehow didn't checksum). Oh yeah, in Soviet Rusia it would be hard to leave the USSR or even know about such "bourgoise" activities...

Answer in TFA. But I also suspect it's because it will be the hardest and most stringent FDAs out of the way, which will facilitate certification with other FDAs (and their respective counterparts) around the world while opening up the US as a large HIV market right off the bat.

Submission + - Pacific Island of Niue to Mint Star Wars Coins (stuff.co.nz)

dimethylxanthine writes: "Niue residents will soon be able to choose from several collections of Star Wars themed coince, including a set featuring Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Obi-Wan, R2-D2 + C3PO, Yoda and Han Solo / Chewbacca. While legal tender with a denominations of $2NZ, the coins will be minted from 1oz pure silver and as such not for daily use by most people — "No one is going to go buy an ice-cream with them", as New Zealand Mint spokesman Chris Kirkness put it. A total of 7500 will be minted, so coin collectors should be thiking about finding a transport for this pacific island, which is far far away from most places before November, which is when the coints will go into production."

Hey, maybe it's the kids' way of saying they're in search of a job. If I were the italians, I'd sit down with them and see what they can do for the (Italian|American|NATO... ) govt - as they can obviously do quite a bit and clearly more than their employed, university educated cybersecurity "specialists". 2c/
