It is a 2000 Mustang V6. There are lots of forums and most people who care about MPG say the drop is bad. I didn't realize there was a problem with E10 until I found a E0 station and my mileage shot up. I am trying to beat my summer E0 record of 3 tanks of 29 MPG. With mods and E10 the best I can do is 27

In '99 Ford changed the intake manifold of the 3.8L resulting in a gain of 40 hp.

There is already that delay. Drivers tend to take forever to get going when the light turns green. I am usually to the other side of the intersection before most cars start moving.

That is why I have to look both ways before going on green to avoid getting hit by runners. Where I live almost no one stops at stop signs anymore and most people drive right through right on red. Usually a few cars sneak through each red light at a busy intersection.

Some nut jobs take the time to mix E85 and E10 to make E20. Since I have never seen a E85 pump I have never tried it.

Yes these are small detuned engines. Using E20 I assume makes running at higher throttle plate opening possible which reduces pumping loses on the engine . Personally I would try a hot air intake first.
