Comment Re:Wait, a 3rd year course on blogging? (Score 1) 605

Or maybe one where the purpose is to design and build a blog system, where the actual system is what is important, and not the sample posts used for testing ? I guess the lack of information presented is just another sign of the youth having degraded mental abilities. He didn't list the primary objectives, he just bitched about grammar used in blog posts, which may or may not even be relevant to what the class is trying to achieve.

One in using the new medias to attract and retain eyeballs ?
Maybe the course is graded by something more important than the English abused in the posts
  • Does the hit rate increase over time ?
  • Does the site attract a global audience ?
  • Does the site get repeat visits ?
  • How many minutes does a viewer spend on the site ?
  • How much of your content is actually ever seen ?
  • How many people link to your content ?

I think there are many ways to evaluate a successful blog, besides the correctness of the grammar.

That site offended me. From the mass of stock photograghy, to the lack of content, that site was offensive. I was asked to check it out, but I sure won't be following that POS. It hurts to look at it. Someone should be looking for a new job for showing that to the public.

If they could sell ads via a wind farm, they would be working on it. Googles interest in driverless cars is to remove the driving so they can present more ads. Googles interest in fibre is to get higher bandwidth to people, so they can show them more effective ads. Google is an advertising company. Their interest is in getting more ads to more people.

Googles wants to make cars that drive themselves a reality; driving is a major distraction from the advertising they would like to present you. Google wants to make your fridge know what you eat; knowledge of diet lets them show you ads related to shopping you must do. Google wants to develop advertising into all aspects of life. I think I just solved for X.

I wont own a Sony because I have personal issues against the entire brand, but the NEX5 NEX7 cameras are awesome at photos and video. The manual controls are easy to use, and the auto settings produce great photos. The only down side to the camera is that it feels like a cell phone that somebody turned into a camera. The sensor is world class tho, and there are adapters to mount old range finder glass onto it. The panasonic micro four thrids cameras are all great. The GX1 with the pancake zoom lens could be really appealing to you. You would also be happy with the GF3 if you want more auto features and features in general, and maybe the G3 if a more traditional dslr inspired design fits your hands better.
