Comment Re:I don't see the downside of this (Score 3, Funny) 283

I spend a lot of money to live in a nice location in downtown Seattle, and cable TV and Internet are not available on my block. DSL is spotty, and since I live on the top floor, there's no way to make it work. The cabling to the building and inside the building is just too old.

Doesn't sound like such a nice location to me.

they worded it badly but pretty much they are complaining that amazon is selling the fire TV and other media sticks, while banning KODI, which without addons is not any different.

Seems like an issue with anti competitive behavior

Why does the foundation find this "absurd"? Just sounds like business as usual for content/platform lock-in and large companies using their control over a marketplace to remove competition.

Kinda reminds me of how Apple removes apps that "duplicate functionality built into iOS" and then at the same time "adopts" features of the best third-party utilities in new iOS versions.

According to their website, you're lucky to get ONE drive for less than $10.

Buying flash drives in retail stores is like buying USB and HDMI cables in stores -- an exercise only to be done when you really HAVE to have it now. For everything else, there's NewEgg and Monoprice.

If people are claiming that you're throttling their torrents they may be having an issue with their service in general that is keeping them from utilizing the connection to the full potential. These issues may be with the customer's own equipment or networking, or indicative of an issue with the service itself.

What is the result of your technical support department's investigations into these issues?
