VirtualBox Development At a Standstill 288

jones_supa writes: Phoronix notes how it has been a long time since last hearing of any major innovations or improvements to VirtualBox, the virtual machine software managed by Oracle. This comes while VMware is improving its products on all platforms, and KVM, Xen, Virt-Manager, and related Linux virtualization technologies continue to advance as well. Is there any hope left for a revitalized VirtualBox? It has been said that there are only four paid developers left on the VirtualBox team at the company, which is not enough manpower to significantly advance such a complex piece of software. The v4.3 series has been receiving some maintenance updates during the last two years, but that's about it.

It does not have to harm your credit rating. You are right make them prove it. Look up "debt validation letter" and send them one (hurry up, you have 30 days from when they first sent you a letter) . Send it registered. Once you you have conformation they got it pull your credit report (annualcreditreport.com). If they are reporting it contest it with the credit reporting agencies.

If they validate the debt on your credit report without sending you validation of the debt you can sue them.

It can stay on your report for up to 7 years AFTER you pay it. Sometimes with an old debt paying it will hurt your credit more than it will help. It is possible to get a medical debt off after you pay it but it requires time and effort on your part.

I don't think the feds want to go to war. Cuba is communist and parts of it work. (like health care for the amount they spend). If they lifted the embargo and stop messing with them they could become a very successful communist country.

The success would be more due to them being a great tourist location and less because they are communist but the right wing is simply not going to tolerate a successful communist county if they can do anything about it.

If you delay everyone 1/2 second some servers will still have an advantage. I think the 1 to 5 second delay would work better.

Dispute it with kleargear.com first. Then dispute with the credit reporting agency. Use registered mail so you have proof.

If they verify you owe them money sue them under the FDCPA in federal court for attempting to collect a debt that is not due. ($1000 per offence plus any legal costs)

Let them try to prove a contract exists in federal court.

Cant he just use a PO box for his address?

Unauthorized works for usb to my computer. I have not tried it charging. I have a mac cable (that came with my ipad) for charging and a cheap cable to hook up usb.

I remember a little while ago someone managed to electrocute themselves with an unauthorized cable/charger on an iphone. That may have played into them doing this with IOS7.
