Feed George Foreman busts out the iGrill... for reals (engadget.com)

The clever folks at ThinkGeek may have been him to the punch with their April Fool's Day edition iGrill, but it seems that George Foreman isn't one to let a good brand go unused, trotting out his own iGrill that's very much real. Unlike ThinkGeek's USB-powered faux device, George Foreman's iGrill is a full-fledged indoor/outdoor BBQ, with a 200 square inch nonstick grilling surface and an adjustable temperature control probe. Garnering it the "i" designation is the BBQ's integrated 10W speaker system and USB port/dock, which will accommodate your iPod or other MP3 player to let you pump out some tunes as you grill. If that sounds like your idea of an "instant party," you can get your iGrill now for $150.

An anonymous reader writes: After stumbling over several unanimous recommendations against using viral scans for your email (which somewhat shattered my security world view), I started to notice a bigger and bigger movement which argues against the use of anti-virus software altogether, as it is ineffective against the main threats of malware, counter-productive (as it eats up system resources), and seems to be more of a "good-luck charm" than anything else.

I have to admit that, even though I deal with loads of suspicious software, I can't even remember when I got the last real virus warning.

So — is it time to dump your anti-virus software, go "commando", and free yourself from the shackles of these system drags?

An anonymous reader writes: CNET have taken a look back at 30 years of Apple rumors during which we have witnessed Apple's "rise, fall, and rise again, like a kind of technological Jesus Christ". Some of the rumors are outrageous, and some came true. The list includes such treasures as the Apple-Nintendo merger, which the article calls "utterly outlandish" and the persistent rumor that Apple will release OSX for PC — described as "so counter-productive and financially damaging for Apple that we doubt the company has ever seriously considered it". There is also mention of the iPhone which CNET says is "an elaborate hoax dreamed up by Steve Jobs to keep journalists busy".
