No, they won't - they will raise rates to make up for lost revenue and offer their TV services for a buck or two over that.

While I hate the gubment being everywhere in the public life, I'd support them stepping in and regulating a basic cost to connect.

Everyone who "cut the cord" learns that content is relatively cheap. Forcing those that "Cut the cord" to pay anyway is tantamount to robbery.

All you bottom feeders of facebook and myspace finding the intraweb need to be shot. And the folks that killed Napster - they need to be shot.

And get the hell off of my lawn.

Altho, my lawn is presently muddy. and most folks will wait for warmer weather to see the lawn - but most likely won't go past the thorn bushes I planted to deter people from the lawn.

So I'll just shake my fist.

If I buy a game, I want to play it on any PC I own - and I'm still playing X-Com and Warcraft (yes - I have those discs :)

Steam sorta got it right - but steam is a gamble cause if it shuts down - anything you bought goes away.

If you want to "rent" the framework to play, not going to bite - sorry.

I thought we'd have flying cars before we'd lose the chance to drive.

All kidding aside, 40 years from now we'll still be driving our own cars because programmers won't be able to help a car decide if it is allowed to avoid a collision that will kill a driver by swerving onto a sidewalk and killing two pedestrians.
