Submission + - RockStar shaft PC users (change.org)

GeekWithAKnife writes: RockStar have let PC users down with not releasing GTA in a timely fashion as with their console releases...let's not even mention GTA IV's awful PC port.

There has been a petition to change this and it's gaining momentum. The open letter states:

Rockstar PR
Rockstar Games
Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.
Please release GTA V on PC. GTA games have been a large part of so many people's lives and it's a
big shame not seeing the newest iteration of the game being released on the most powerful platform.
Things like modifications have always been a HUGE part of PC gaming and modded GTA is some of the
most insanely fun times you can have.

I hope you consider the release of GTA V on PC as it'll make...

Why do some people sign this? probably

Sometimes police abuse their position or become oppressive in measures inadvertently. Still as far as texting is concerned I think this should be punished in a more severe manner.

I know I know, people say what's the harm right?!

It only takes one time that you have almost killed someone or yourself due to texting to finally admit you are increasing risk to yourself and others. Texting goes a step beyond the distraction of hands free phones because you are occupying at least one hand and looking elsewhere than what's in front of you.

Over the years I have had several near misses and dangerous situations because of drivers that are texting, holding phones and generally not only preoccupied mentally with the conversation but also physically with no hands on the wheel.

Some texting ass nearly killed a cyclist one day as he slowly drove out of his lane and into a bicycle lane, just a 20cm or so is all it took. He held the steering wheel between his knees and was using his phone with both hands! -Do you think he would have gotten off the hook cause the cyclist didn't wear a helmet?

I know that you can text, stopped at a light (presumably only there) and nothing will happen. Harmless right? until that time that your clutch is raised ever so slightly and you rear into the car behind you or you didn't notice the cyclist creeping from the side, or the motorcyclists between your car and another...
You can imagine the scenarios. It's not about the 10,000 times it went right, it's about the one time it doesn't.

Feel this is unjustified? I welcome you to cycle or operate a two wheel vehicle for a time and see if that changes your mind. Let's remember that there are no such situations in which you must to text when you drive or are operating a vehicle. It's an action you can entirely do without. you can "like this" or comment that witticism later.

At the end of the day this is my life and I can do everything right on the road and still get hurt or worse because of someone else. If it was your life would you accept me texting or possibly putting you in danger? putting your children in danger?

Ladies and gentleman, I propose that this is only the beginning. Soon the evil Zionists and western imperialists will send their GM mind controlling bacteria to spy on us from inside our bodies.

Let's fight the oppression of foreign powers, the military, bad people and bacteria together. Unlike some cowardly dictators I lead by example. In the interest of public safety, as I have personally not felt a lot like myself lately, I asked officials to prove that I do not carry such bacteria. As they have failed to give any substantial evidence to the contrary I must conclude that however remote, there is a possibility this is the case.

If you do not feel like yourself and are tempted to take a power drill to your temple PLEASE STOP this is exactly what they want. Don't let them win!

Flying pigeons, swimming sharks and bacteria will not end us! Fight on my brothers and expose their wicked ways!

This "multiple guess" business is clearly preventing educated people from passing this test. I they adjust for this deficiency and make it a "singular guess" they will have pass rates that would be the envied the world over.

It what you know when you have a basic grasp of probability. If there are less possibilities, namely 1 then the probability of a single possibility as an outcome becomes very high. Look what eliminating multiple options did for Mugabe's career. His pass rates are stellar.

We're determined to create a human-like AI and we'll one day succeed, it's just a matter of time...of course we still don't fully understand learning in humans and how, in fine detail our brain functions on all levels.

Passing some standard tests is not a worth goal for an AI development in my opinion. It's the ability to dynamically adapt and respond based on past experiences that is closer to human intelligence. When the AI can get drunk the night before, wake up late, lace shoes and run to class and manage a respectable B on a paper he or she was not really prepared for then we can call it "AI".

You know, that's a pretty standard test humans pass all the time. (many don't)

The fact VMware is playing OpenStack down and bothering to comment about is shows it's definitely going well on the OpenStack side.

Good news, OpenStack is open, it can be built to fit whatever purpose because anyone can come and play.

Closed source corp says open source stuff is not for serious people...yeah I guess that makes sense for them to say so.
