Fun fact: Just caught something about this on the news. Apparently, after spending loads of cash (dont remember the exact amount) to open a new terminal at Sac international airport, the expected numbers of customers just isn't there. At the time construction started they could justify the expense. Now? They're looking at employee cut backs. I wonder if the TSA could be driving away business?

Actually no. If you start up steam and it can't detect an internet connection it ask if you want to attempt loging in again or go to offline mode. Once in offline mode any game you have previously downloaded will be available. While it is true that you have to have an internet connection to download the games in the first place, you don't need to have one after installation.

Gratuitous Space Battles is one example. After installing the game the whole directory can be copied to a flash drive, transferred to another computer, and it will run standalone. No need to install steam or even take it off the flash drive. This is just one example and not all games have this level of freedom. DRM encountered in steam is entirely at the software developers discretion. Just look at Red Faction: Guerrilla. *Shudder* Microsoft DRM.

Actually, I installed windows 7 on a lenovo laptop that shipped with XP. While it didn't look as fancy as it could have (I blame the intel graphics card) it was very effective. It even booted faster and ran smoother than a fresh XP installation. Also all the hardware was recognized and worked with the Win 7 drivers.

I could be mistaken, but i remember hearing somewhere that scientists discovered the cause of this problem. Something to do with a small worm that was incubating in their brains and as it grew larger and more mature it would literally drive the bee insane. The bee would then fly away from the hive to die as its brain was being reamed out by this parasite.

I could be entirely mistaken, but that's what I heard.

Did you read that correctly? It states the following: Canadian law requires that all persons entering Canada must carry both proof of citizenship and identity. A valid U.S. passport or passport card is preferred... etc.

"Evidence" is anything that supports a premise. An IP address or profile is "evidence" as is an eye witness and DNA evidence.

Yes and no. You've listed 3 types of evidence with varying degree's of accuracy.

DNA is the most accurate, with dependencies mostly occurring in attempts to tell twins apart from one another.

An eye witness is good but the memory of an event starts to deteriorate over time and even initial accounts can vary from witness to witness.

IP address evidence is the least accurate. I can't disguise my DNA and if someone sees me steal a car they will at least be able to identify me as a Caucasian male. An IP address just tracks the culperate to the residence, it doesn't not account for people cracking WEPs and accessing networks that are not theirs or friends you may have given access to your network. Both of these examples don't track down the actual culprit. Just a residence.
