In 94 I went to Comdex, after having used OS/2 for a year or two. Microsoft had just announced Win95 would be released in 1995, giving IBM a 9 month + window to Do Something. At Comdex I found the IBM booth and asked them something about OS/2. Got a blank look. Asked someone else. Got a blank look. Have 2 options: Cox cable and AT&T Uverse. Had Cox for 6 weeks, it was utter horse stinky stuff. Switched to Uverse, first few years were good but they've been going downhill. Real close to cutting the cable this month, I expect my bill to jump up $40 this month (real close this time last year, they gave me a deal, same deal ain't good enough this time around as their service took a major hit last oct/nov).

I was born in the 50's, bought a TRS-80 in '78 or so and have been programming ever since. Mostly device drivers, BSPs, etc.

I know more about computers than most digital natives, yet it's hard for me to get a job because I'm old, don't use FB, don't twit, don't insta, don't have a phone full of selfies, etc.
