Do I have to be connected to the Internet when I play Steam games?
Offline mode is useful for LAN games and large scale LAN parties, where Internet connectivity is not practical.
How can I have a LAN party or similar event using Steam?
Any Steam game, when played on a LAN or otherwise, requires that each individual client be able to authenticate via the Internet.

New phone (Sendo M570, and yeap I took it back to the shop) is intresting.
The keys are not very sensative, and it refuses to connect the teh inteweb.

New PC, well, when I say new, I mean a reject from work.
P4 2.0, 512Meg, 120Gig, SB:Live and to top it off, a 32MB graphics card... Drat.

Nice new Sendo M570. It sitting in its charger. Turn it on, press a few buttons to set the date. It turns itself off.

Not happy thus far, however I did not give it the 12 (bloody hell, 12!) hours inital charge the manual recomends.
So 7pm tonight, and I'll try again. And if it does not work, I'll be taking a trip to the phone shop.

I went off to buy a cheap phone today, been after one for a while.
So I see a ok-looking one, with a camera and a great looking one without (and £10 cheaper). I ask about the camera phone (my 'ickle sister wants someone to MMS her;), but they are sold out. So I go with the cooler looking camera less one.

I'm glad I did, it's MIDP2! Ace!
