The irony with this statement along with others like it is some imaginary idea that black men are out there in droves intentionally leaving their families behind. This isn't the case at all. Does it happen, absolutely, but when black men are arrested in droves and hit with felonies and prison time, forcing the mother's to seek welfare, then unable to find work because of those minor infraction felonies resulting in recidivism, for multiple generations, you get this shit. You want this to change, then change the laws that were created by your great grandfathers precisely to get this outcome, or at the very least stop electing judges that apply harsher terms to blacks than whites for the exact same crime. Black teens are convicted at much higher rates as adults than whites, ruining opportunity before it can begin. Stop hiring people that look like you (not just physically) and passing over everyone else when you're not going out of your way to expand your circle of people to be more diverse.
People that don't have to deal with this type of stuff always point to the "it's the families," or "this doesn't happen to immigrants," or "racism doesn't exist because I have one black/brown friend," and never stop to ask why those points are almost always debunked when we look at the data and even adjust to account for these things we still see the same trends. Even the post about Indians not experiencing what blacks go through is pure BS. I've watched countless times white executives get off a call and the first comment out of their mouths is "I couldn't understand a thing they were saying and they should speak better English." Or one of my favorites "they should just stay in their own country." Yeah, the country (ies) with more top intellectuals than your entire population. And boy, don't let them grow a beard or worse be Muslim then you're in a whole new world of blatant racism. And yes, they do talk about this kind of stuff, just not to you as they know you'll just fire them and get another H1 to replace them.
It's people like the OP that attempt to take every attempt by others to level the playing field as a challenge to their superiority and doing so is racist because you're excluding them. Well, Todd, you're already playing the game as a professional with amateurs, you don't need the extra help as you're likely going to still win but at least it won't be a blow out.
