Illegally bombed Cambodia, killing 1.5 - 3 million civillians with 540,000 tons of bombs.
Also with Nixon, overthrew the elected government of Allende, installing Pinochet and killing 200,000 Chilean leftists.
"Tilted" towards Gen Yahya Khan in Pakistan, allowing the killing of 300,000 East Pakistanis looking for independence.
Portugal's 1975 revolution gave colonies indepence: East Timor was seized by Suharto with Kissinger and Ford this time saying, "Whatever you do, be quick about it." 200,000 dead.
But yeah, as Doonesbury's said, he does have his Nobel Peace Prize to fall back on.

Comment Cash (Score 1) 225

Paying with cash has been increasingly discouraged - it's so easy to swipe and not deal with change.
We need electronic legal tender from the USA that operates like credit cards yet processes through the federal Treasury. Because money has become this.

Comment Re:Why do people with money always want to GMO? (Score 1) 76

I can understand the idea behind creating a refuge to be safe in the event of a global catastrophe. Don't understand how creating a genetic master race follows from that.
Also wonder about the practical aspects of creating a place where you have a million times more money than everyone else, when everyone else isn't there.

Comment Seat Shape (Score 1) 182

My gripe is with the shape of the seat, how it curves so that I'm always hunched over. Were the seats designed by someone with severe scoliosis? Why does the shape have to be uncomfortable immediately when I sit in it? I assume it's shaped that way to better survive a crash, which if true makes me wonder why we're uncomfortable 99.99999% of the time flying in order to better accomodate the chance that might happen 0.000001% of the time. I'd rather take my chances during the crash and have a comfortable seat the rest of the time. /rant off
