Uhm, he is accused of rape. By an Swedish Woman. What part of "I am trying to hide behind my so-called activism to deal with the reality that I am a fucking rapist" did you not get? Assange needs to be put on trial in Sweden for rape. Otherwise justice is NOT served. Why would the world be a better place if any other purported rapist gets away with asylum in a frikking embassy?

Everything in the whole rape story corroborated what his friends are now saying about him.

Same story with Oscar Pistorius btw, He also had a reputation for being vicious short tempered gun nut before he shot his SO.

Even in semi-socialist Germany both parties in a employment contract usually have what is called a Probezeit, which means Try-out time. After 6 months (or 3, depending on contract) either side can just walk out. This is because sometimes people are just not a good fit for a team.

Don't take it personally. Rather be happy they let you go now than having a relationship that deteriorates and ends in acrimony after a few years.

The German expression is "besser ein Ende mit Schrecken als ein Schrecken ohne Ende". A horrible ending is better than a endless horror.

Sounds like my colleauge. "I hate Javascript" "I hate tablets" "I hate Micsosoft". "I hate PDF files" "I hate non-vi editors"

For all X where X is not Gentoo Linux and VI he hates X

Everytime he hates I just know since he hates X he has never worked with X so he in incompetent when it comes to X. And have always been correct in that assumption.

Agree. I always thought Brendan Eich's decision to base his scripting language on Self and make it a functional language instead of the Algol-like mediocre dreariness of PHP and Java and Python was a brilliant idea. Javascript has been held back for many years because of the DOM and browser wars. It also has a somewhat limited (and silly at places) standard library, but the base language is not bad at all.
The fact that compiling technology for Imperative languages was 20 years ahead of anything functional and dynamic did not help either.

Higher-order functions? Quit advanced object system? In 1996? The language was waaaaay ahead of its time. And Brendan Eich is a genius. I wish I will have the opportunity to meet him one day.
