We have one or two colleagues who print their emails or screenshots of error messages, call you on the phone to inform you about their visti, then come to your desk and talk face to face to you.
AFAIK, they contributed a driver to make the Linux kernel run on the MS Hyper-V. That driver made it into the staging of the Linux kernel and then nothing was heard from MS developers for a long time. So it was announced it will be removed from the kernel soon (2.6.33 I think).
It didn't meet standards and needed to be cleaned up. So MS needed another 600 patches to clear up the code and that is all they did.
MS does nothing for CIFS etc. or to help make Linux talk to MS products.
I never understood why and when a hardware platform became a synonym for software... For me a PC is something like a desktop and Intel chipset without looking up a defintiion.

I own no television or radio, mostly listen to internet radio and watch some series on BBC. There is however a DVD and music collection here, which I would count as 20% of what I consume? So yeah 60-80%

I go to Oxford quiet regulary and often there are stickers inside "Smile, you are on CCTV!" etc. The only difference would be, that it is not optional any more... trains have CCTV as well -.-

With plain vanilla 3.1.0 everything works, screen (radeon kms), keyboard, controllers, network + wifi + bluetooth, webcam.
I personally use mostly KDE applications on top of that and awesome to manage the windows...
