Actually, even before eBooks, it cost so little to print a book that it was hardly an issue of cost. It costs pennies to print a book. The price you pay for books, even now, goes to other things (cover artist, author, publisher, marketers, etc). Going digital really doesn't save publishers any significant amount of money.

I just got an email from US Bank this morning as well about the data breach with Epsilon. I wonder how many more companies are affected by this one third-party company.

Or does Apple actually seem reasonable in sharing customer data with third parties? You can be a fanboy or anti-fanboy on this, but when's the last time you've seen a major company take a stance on customer privacy? I feel like I've become jaded and just assume every corporation is trying to screw me over and I never expected that THIS would be the reason for the hangup in the negotiations.

If they genuinely made a mistake in their selection of the copyrighted works, and they own up to it and remove it, then they can fix it and move on. Problem solved, end of story. Now, if they're going to be dicks and fight it, well... then we'll have an interesting story. Until then, I find myself giving it a resounding... "Meh..."

God forbid any company would actually contribute taxes to the infrastructure of the countries in which they operate. I mean, that would just make too much sense.

If you seriously need to be that productive and you really can't stand Oracle, then go buy the latest version of MS Office. If you really need to use complex ppt and xls files, then the cost really isn't that bad. Use it until LibreOffice is out of Beta if you have to. Apple has their own work suite too. OpenOffice is the free version. If you can't stand using the free version, go buy one that works for you.

It was quite irritating when you could NOT do it on the disc version. Now that it is there, by comparison to the previous version, it is SIGNIFICANTLY more awesome. By several degrees.

But everything seems to play fine on my PS3. One thing that's awesome is that you can push and hold the left and right and scroll continuously through the lists. Also, it shows 2 horizontal lists instead of one list. Nothing wrong with it, but I'd prefer to be able to choose how it's displayed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can setup your PayPal account so that it has the ability to deposit money right into your bank account, right? With online banking all the rage nowadays, can you not just transfer the money from your paypal account every week keeping a minimum in there for incidental costs? That way, you can keep your money in your own bank account.
I don't know much about PayPal, but wouldn't that be a viable option instead of keeping say... 600,000 pounds in PayPal?
